Theodore Tsaousides, PhD, ABPP

Theo Tsaousides, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He obtained his Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the State University of New York at Albany, and completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Research and Clinical Neuropsychology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Tsaousides is the director of the postdoctoral program training program in the Brain Injury Research Center at Mount Sinai, and the principal investigator of a training grant in rehabilitation research and clinical neuropsychology, funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). He is also involved as co-investigator in the Mount Sinai Injury Control Research Center, funded by the CDC, as well as two grants funded by NIDRR, one on interventions for individuals with TBI and one on the classification and measurement of medical rehabilitation interventions. In addition to his involvement in training and research, Dr. Tsaousides also maintains an active private practice serving individuals with brain injuries by conducting neuropsychological assessments, cognitive rehabilitation, psychoeducation and psychotherapy. Dr. Tsaousides has presented and published on TBI-related issues in multiple venues. His research interests include developing interventions to improve cognitive and psychosocial functioning following TBI, vocational outcomes following TBI, screening and identification, and incorporating technology as intervention and outcome measurement post-TBI.


Kathleen M. Chard, PhD
VA - CPT Implementation Director/Director PTSD and Anxiety   

Kathleen M. Chard, Ph.D. is the Director of the PTSD and Anxiety Disorders Division at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati. As the VA CPT Implementation Director, Dr. Chard oversees the dissemination of Cognitive Processing Therapy to VA clinicians across the United States. She is the author of the CPT for Sexual Abuse treatment manual and is co-author of the Cognitive Processing Therapy: Military Version manual. Dr. Chard is an Associate Editor of the Journal for Traumatic Stress and she is an active researcher. She has conducted several funded studies on the treatment and etiology of PTSD and she currently is exploring the efficacy of CPT with veterans with PTSD and comorbid traumatic brain injury.
