It’s All About Relationships

Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in your community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child’s life.

On-site Mentors/Tutors (for the 2013-2014 School Year beginning in September)

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity. Each volunteer is matched in a one-on-one relationship that lasts for an entire school year. Our youth can range from pre-K through college. The Tutor and Tutee spend one hour a week together at one of four public housing neighborhoods. Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Monday through Thursday afterschool through 800p time frame. The Bridge Project provides training and ongoing tutor support. Given the importance of literacy in our program, the Bridge Project seeks people who are at least 18 years of age, ready for college English, and have scores of TOEFL >104 and IELTS >7.5 for non-native English speakers. No other special skills are required. Please Get Started Now!
