Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in your community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child’s life.

On-Site Mentor/Tutor (recruiting now for 2012-2013 school year)

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity. Each volunteer is matched with an individual student. The tutor and tutee spend one hour a week together through the end of the school year at one of our four locations. Volunteers choose a day and time that works best for their schedule, anywhere Monday through Thursday from afterschool hours through 800p. The Bridge Project provides training and ongoing tutor support. Given the importance of literacy in our program, the Bridge Project seeks people who are at least 18 years of age, ready for college English, and have scores of TOEFL >104 and IELTS >7.5 for non-native English speakers.
