The Bridge Project

Get Involved

Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in our community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child's life.

We are so very thankful to the Denver community for the tremendous support during the last academic year and the return of 66% of our volunteers from 2014-2015. We encourage interested applicants to register for an introductory session on our Get Started page.

* Our Westwood location seeks an estimated 30 new tutors across all age groups.

* Our Quigg-Newton location seeks 2 Spanish-speaking tutors to work with early grade school children.

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity. The Tutor and Tutee are matched and spend one hour a week together at one of our locations in public housing for the school year.

Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Monday through Thursday from 400p through 800p. The Bridge Project provides all the training and support that you'll need.

If you would like to speak with us, please contact Debbie Main at or call (303) 871-2651.

The Bridge Project accepts volunteers who are 18 years and older. Tutoring sessions and staff communications with volunteers occur primarily in spoken English, therefore college-level English proficiency skills are required. Questions regarding language can be directed to Debbie Main at
