The Bridge Project

Get Involved

Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in our Denver community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child's life.

We are so very thankful to the Denver community for the tremendous support during the last academic year and the return of 66% of our volunteers for this year. We encourage interested applicants to register for an introductory session on our Get Started page.

* Our Westwood location seeks an estimated 20 new tutors across all age groups.

* Our Quigg-Newton location seeks 2 Spanish-speaking tutors to work with early grade school children.

* Our Columbine location seeks 5 volunteers for grade, middle, high school, and college students.

* Our Lincoln Park location seeks new tutors for the following youth: 1st grader for reading, 7th grader for Algebra2, 8th grader for Spanish, 11th grader for math and writing, and three college students for reading comprehension, Accuplacer study skills, and accounting.

Our Tutor position is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity. You will be matched with your Tutee for the school year and spend one hour a week together through May.

Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Monday through Thursday, 400p through 800p, time frame. No teaching skills are needed. The Bridge Project provides all the support that you'll need.

If you would like to speak with us, please contact Debbie Main at or call (303) 871-2651.

The Bridge Project accepts volunteers who are 18 years and older. Tutoring sessions and staff communications with volunteers occur primarily in spoken English, therefore college-level English proficiency is required. Questions regarding language can be directed to Debbie Main at
