The Bridge Project

Get Involved

Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in our community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child's life.

NOW RECRUITING TUTORS FOR 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR

Please help our youth start the new school year on the right foot by volunteering as a tutor.

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity in which each volunteer is matched with an individual student for the school year. The Tutor and Tutee spend one hour a week together at one of our locations in public housing. Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Monday through Thursday afterschool through 800p time frame. The Bridge Project provides training and ongoing tutor support.

Please get started today by registering for one of our end-of-summer volunteer sessions. If you would like to speak with us, please call our Administrative Office at (303) 871-2651 and ask for Laura Kelch, or email Laura at lkelch@du.edu.

Sessions and staff communications with volunteers occur primarily in spoken English, therefore college-level English proficiency skills are required. Questions regarding language can be directed to Debbie Main at dmain@du.edu.
