The Bridge Project

Get Involved

Getting involved with The Bridge Project is a great way to make a difference in our community. You will come away with a profound sense of respect for the children with whom you work and a wonderful sense of knowing that you added to a child's life.

SEEKING TUTORS FOR The 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

We are so very thankful to the Denver community for the tremendous support during the 2014-2015 school year. All Bridge Project children are in a caring tutoring relationship with an adult. We encourage interested applicants to register for an introductory session in August and September for the 2015-2016 school year.

This is a wonderfully fulfilling volunteer opportunity in which a volunteer is matched with a child for the school year. The Tutor and Tutee spend one hour a week together at one of our locations in public housing.

Volunteers generally propose a day and time that works best for their schedule within the Monday through Thursday from 300p through 800p. The Bridge Project provides all the training and support that you'll need.

Please get started today at Get Started. If you would like to speak with us, please contact Debbie Main at  dmain@du.edu or call our Administrative Office at (303) 871-2651.

The Bridge Project seeks people who are 18 years and older, and occasionally makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis for mature high school students.

Tutoring sessions and staff communications with volunteers occur primarily in spoken English, therefore college-level English proficiency skills are required. Questions regarding language can be directed to Debbie Main at dmain@du.edu.
