Jacki Moran
Jacki Moran is a 6th grade Bridge participant who already has dreams of going to college, and the Bridge Project is helping her set goals for the future.
Jacki Moran is an exceptional student. She gets goods grades and enjoys learning math. She has been coming to the Westwood Bridge Project with her older sister for six years. Jacki’s favorite programs at Bridge include art, scrapbooking, and the music studio. Jacki also participates in weekly tutoring sessions, which help contribute to her success in school.
At eleven years old, Jacki already knows the value of an education. She plans on going to college, getting a degree in early childhood education and becoming a preschool teacher. She believes Bridge will play a big role in helping her reach her educational goals. “I hope to work on the Tech Team at Bridge when I am in high school, so that I can earn a scholarship for college.”

Faduma Sufi
Faduma wants to be a chef. She dreams of attending a culinary arts school after high school and becoming a world-class chef.
Faduma Sufi, a participant at the new Z.O.N.E. program at Bridge. She says Bridge is “a great place to be and a lot of fun.” She enjoys attending weekly tutoring sessions because she loves learning new things and improving her writing skills. Faduma is a talented author and even won an award last year for a book she wrote called Bubble Bath. (The sequel to Bubble Bath is coming soon!) Faduma says she loves writing because it allows her to share her feelings. When Faduma is not writing, she likes playing outside and working on her foreign coin collection.
Faduma is interested in becoming a chef after she graduates high school. With the Bridge Project’s support, Faduma can attend a culinary arts school to learn the skills she will need to fulfill her dream of becoming a chef.
