The Tech Team
The Bridge Project's technology component offers children and youth access to computer labs at all four sites.
A grant from the US Department of Education in 2000 allowed Bridge to establish its own Technology Academy program. The Academy trains high school and college students who live in the housing projects whenever there are enough to fill a class (10 – 12 students). Those who successfully complete the Academy can be employed as Computer Lab Assistants at any of the four Bridge sites. Coined the "Tech Team", these students provide computer support for the labs at Bridge Project sites. They also conduct structured computer instruction each day for Bridge children in the after-school program.
