Joy Burns: Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Service 2008

Recipients of the Alumni Association’s Award for Distinguished Service to the University must have demonstrated outstanding and lengthy dedication and service to DU. This award can go to a member of the staff, faculty or board of trustees. Honorees may also be volunteers or friends of DU.

Joy’s work with DU began in 1972 when she began volunteering with the Women’s Library Association. Nine years later she joined the Board of Trustees and has served as it chair for much of the last 18 years.
