Donald Sturm: Evans Award 2008

The Evans Award was first presented in 1951 and is named for John Evans, principal founder of the University of Denver. It is presented annually to a distinguished alumnus or alumna who has demonstrated achievement in his or her profession, offered humanitarian service to the community, and demonstrated continuing interest in the University.

Don Sturm graduated from DU with his law degree in the late 1950s. He left Colorado after graduating, but in 1991 he and his wife Susan returned to make Denver their home. That’s when he founded the Sturm Financial Group. He joined the DU Board of Trustees in 1992 and has been a member ever since.
