Thick as Thieves: Dungeons and Dragons at a Glance

"Thick as Thieves" explores the role-playing subculture through a Dungeons & Dragons game. It introduces D&D as an alternative to mass media entertainment, breaks down the stereotypes, and showcases the dynamics of fellowship cultivated by the game. The film details how these players approach the game as individuals and enjoy the game as a group.

As the fantasy story unfolds, the players begin to define themselves in the complex negotiation of real and imagined roles. The story of the game eventually takes the backseat as the themes of friendship and fun rise to the surface.
