WELCOME

The Department of Campus Safety is staffed 24 hours a day year-round by trained professionals employed to serve the University community. In life-threatening emergencies, or when you need immediate police, fire or medical assistance, make the following TWO calls: 911 and 303-871-3000 (1-3000).

In 2008, DU Campus Safety logged over 62,000 computer aided dispatch events (approximately 170 per day) and over 12,000 calls for service. Additionally, approximately 1,000 reports are written annually by Campus Safety Officers.

Emergency Notifications
Critical Incident Notification System (CINS) is designed to alert you via email, phone, voice mail, text message, and PDA in the event of an emergency on campus. Sign Up Now through Risk Management.

R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Class [PDF]
R.A.D. is a women-only self-defense class offered throughout the United States and Canada, primarily on college campuses. The program is designed to develop and enhance self-defense options so they become viable for women being attacked.

The next three (3) day, twelve (12) hour certification class will be held the following dates and times:

Property Registration
The majority of crimes occurring on campus involve burglary or theft of property. Property Registration for your bicycle, laptop, computer, etc. is free.
