For Families

At DU Career Services, our goals are the same as yours: to see your student succeed in his/her education and career. All our tools and services are designed with this goal in mind. And most of them are provided free of charge to students and alumni.

Encourage your student to take advantage of these tools and services:

The Parent Process

Meet with a Career Counselor to begin exploring major and career options—and find the right fit for their passions and aspirations.

Develop a compelling resume and cover letter.

Connect with top employers across a variety of fields.

Attend a workshop, or a career and internship fair.

Find internships or jobs.

Acquaint yourself with the Pioneer Career Pathfinder, a four-phase checklist designed to help students stay on track with their career development tasks and activities.

Connect with one of our 1,800 smart, successful, professional DU volunteers through the Pioneer Career Network.

Join the Parent Association

The Parent Association connects parents with the University through bi-monthly newsletters, Parents Weekends and a parent advisory board. This is a great way to stay educated on educational and career opportunities for your student.
