On-Campus Employment

F-1 students are eligible to work on campus, and J-1 students may apply to work on campus while they're enrolled at DU. Read more.

Curricular Practical Training

CPT allows F-1 students to take on- or off-campus internships, or jobs integral to their degree program. Read more.

Optional Practical Training

OPT allows F-1 students to spend up to one year in the United States for practical training. You should apply for it at the start of your final term of study. Read more.

17-Month OPT Extension for STEM Majors

For students with degrees in certain science, technology, engineering or mathematics fields, a 17-month extension of Optional Practical Training may be available. Find out if you're eligible.
