An interactive workshop to assist students who need assistance in figuring out what to major in and with researching career direction; and includes a discussion of resources, some activities, and goal setting.

Explore Your Skills to Gain Career Focus
This interactive workshop uses a skills card sort to help you look at your strongest and favorite skills that you might want to use in your career. This process helps you see how your favorite skills link to potential career fields that you can then further research. Limit of five attendees.

“Find an Internship! It won’t find you!”
An internship is one of the best ways to gain experience in your chosen field (build your resume), to confirm if the field or major really is a good fit for you as well as to add richness to your classroom learning. Since about 60%-70% of workers found their latest job through networking, internships are a tremendous way to start building the relationships that are the critical foundation of networking. This one hour workshop will cover the basics of finding an internship. All workshops will be held in the Career Center Library, Driscoll South Lower Level

Prepare for a Career Fair
Learn what to expect, ways to prepare, and how to maximize your time at the Fall Career Fair. This interactive workshop will include how to network with recruiters and some practice exercises so that you can present yourself in the best way.
