What is DUSC?
DU Service & Change (DUSC) is a student organization engaging the DU community through
diverse opportunities that facilitate positive change for the greater public good.
DUSC has four separate committees leading different projects:
- Project Connect – Project Connect organizes donation drives and fundraisers throughout each quarter that promote awareness and support a specific cause.
- Project Action – Standing weekly/bi-weekly volunteer opportunities in the community.
- Project Depth – Long term and committed service projects where DU students learn about and discuss public issues while exploring their root causes and examining solutions.
- Project Volunteer – One day service events each quarter where University of Denver students, faculty, and staff can engage in a variety of volunteer activities throughout the Denver community.

Calendar of DUSC Volunteer Opportunities
Project Connect - Project Connect is hosting a school supply drive, Monday October 15th-Friday October 21st, 10am-4pm. We will have donation boxes in all the residence halls and the CCESL office (located in Driscoll South) where you can drop your new or gently used school supplies off. All donations will be going to the Bridge Project, which is a tutoring and mentoring program that help children who come from low-income families. They are really in need of this help, so clean out your desks and donate some new/gently used school supplies!
If you're interested in learning more about Project Connect or getting involved, please email Ashley Keeler
Project Action - This month, Project Action is hosting another Habitat for Humanity Day! It is on Friday, October 19 from 9:00am-4:30pm. We still need volunteers, so please email Laura Mandler at for more information or how to get involved.
We would also like to welcome our new Co-Chair for Project Action, Neda Kikhia! Be on the look out for upcoming projects Neda is organizing!
Project Depth - Project Depth committee members have been beginning the process of tutoring children involved in the Bridge Project. The Bridge Project is a mentoring and tutoring program dedicated to helping students ages pre-K-high school who come from low-income families. If you are interested in volunteering with the Bridge Project, please email Mallie for more information and to get started!"
Project Depth will also be holding their committee meeting on October 23 at 6pm in CCESL Suite 18.
Project Volunteer - Project Volunteer members are meeting to start planning the major campus-wide volunteer day, being held in the Winter/Spring. Members will review the committee's goals for the year, discuss a plan of action, and begin compiling a list for potential volunteer sites. For more information on how to get involved, please contact Dahisy Cano.
