Academics

You will take three, two-credit hour courses during your first year.   You will also be placed with a real-life company for the entire year.  You will learn about the challenges and rewards of starting a company and being an entrepreneur.

Fall Quarter

During this class, you will learn — and experience — all four stages of team development: Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing. You will learn how to access a team’s development and how to guide team members from crisis to success.

You will also have an opportunity to evaluate and improve your leadership potential through:

• Outdoor leadership experiences

•Creativity development exercises

•Improvisational techniques

Each course includes an introduction to entrepreneurship and its application to real world situations. Sessions on starting a business, moving companies forward, and studying why some companies succeed while others fail.

Winter and Spring Quarter:

If you’ve ever questioned your creativity, these courses will put those doubts to rest. As you progress through two innovative mini-courses studying digital media, and culinary art.  You’ll explore every aspect of the creative process and develop a unique, personalized system to stimulate your creativity.You will also have an opportunity to work with local start-up businesses and help these young companies progress through the development process.
