Presents: Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Week: And Then They Came for Me

April 8-16, 2007

The University of Denver’s student organization Never Again!, affiliated with Hillel of Colorado and the Holocaust Awareness Institute, invites you to join us for week of remembering the Holocaust and all of its victims and relates the horrible incidents of the past to the unfortunate reality of genocide today.

THROUGHOUT THE WEEK:
Tableing on the Driscoll Bridge featuring handouts, videos, and slideshows; Eight Stages of Genocide Exhibit on the Driscoll Bridge; Holocaust Survivor Art Exhibit at Hillel; and Campus Green Flag Display.

7:00 P.M., Sturm Hall Steps: 24 Hour Litany Kickoff Reading of names of those who died in the Holocaust. Listen or join in! (Continues until 7:00 P.M. Monday).

Litany continues until 7:00 P.M. 7:30 P.M., Halls Lounge: Open Mic Night Join us as wel read stories, poems, and more about the Holocaust an watch a slide show of pictures of the Death Camps.

11-12:00 P.M., Hillel: Art Exhibit Speech Prof. Howard explains her finding of and drawing Holocaust survivors. 7-9:00 P.M., Lindsey Auditorium: Keynote Speaker: Lani Silver Nationally recognized oral historian Lani Silver will discuss the Holocaust and its relationship with genocide, racisim, and social injustice today. Followed by a Q/A and Reception.

12-1:00 P.M., Hillel: Lunch and Learn with Prof. Karlsgodt. Prof. Karlsgodt will take us through the journey of the Nazi Art Pillages, assisted by Rebeka Ceravolo. 7:30 P.M., Driscoll North: Take Back the Light Join Sexual Assault Awareness Week in standing up against human rights abuses against women.
