Planned Giving
Established in 1975, the Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Denver is one of oldest Jewish studies programs in the country. The Center has had an impact on students, staff, faculty and communities locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Help us ensure that the Center continues to reach new students, faculties, and communities for future generations with a bequest or other forms of planned giving.
From its earliest days visionaries recognized the need to ensure the permanence of Jewish Studies at the University of Denver. The Center serves as a beacon of knowledge about Jewish history, thought and culture to all people – Jewish and non-Jewish—which makes it one of the only organizations in the region whose mission is to teach all people, Jews and non-Jews, about Jewish history, thought and culture. These visionaries established an endowment that has brought professors of international renowned to the university and to Denver, sponsored students who could not afford this education otherwise, and has brought education and public programs, unprecedented in vision and creativity.
Housed within the Center for Judaic Studies are the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society and Beck Archives, the Holocaust Awareness Institute, and the ALEPH Institute for Jewish Culture.
Founded in 1976, the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society and Beck Archives work in tandem to preserve and publicize the vibrant Jewish history of the Rocky Mountain region with an emphasis on Colorado.
The Holocaust Awareness Institute was established in 1983 and promotes awareness and education throughout the Rocky Mountain region. The Institute works with people of all faiths and cultures to explore the meaning of the Holocaust and its lesson of respect and understanding for future generations.
Established in 2005, the ALEPH Institute for Jewish Culture seeks to advance Jewish culture through the study of Art, Literature, Education, Philosophy, and History (ALEPH).
Join the Center for Judaic Studies as we participate in the Live On campaign supported by Rose Community Foundation and ensure that the Center – the only institution of its kind within 1,000 miles – and its Institutes are a leading resource for Jewish history, thought and culture in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond for generations to come.
