the 4th annual
GALA CELEBRATION
Four (More) Years of Progress!
was held Thursday, 19 February 2009
5.30-8pm, DU Driscoll Ballroom
Many THANKS to the more than 150 partiers who joined us for this FREE event, celebrating the individual and collective achievements in making DU a more inclusive and excellent place for LGBTIQ, allies and, in fact, people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. We looked back at the past four years, recognize particular successes of the past year, and got fired up for four (more) years of making positive difference!

Gala Details:
- Dress was as fancy as you wanted it to be! We had everything from jeans to a tuxedo!
- Buffet dinner was included and began at 6pm.
- No host (cash) bar, for those interested and old enough, opened at 5.30pm.
- Back by popular demand, our emcees for the evening were DU alumna and spoken word performer Dee Galloway, and Penrose Library Ast. Prof. & Serials Librarian K.R. Roberto.

As in past years, we recognized members of our communities for their contributions toward greater LGBTIQA awareness, visibility and equity. A description of the Awards and a list of recognees is available here.
