CME offers a range of programs and services for and about our Latino/a students, staff, faculty and alumni. Current initiatives include support for:
Latina/o Graduate Association (LGA): Recognizing the need to unite the community of Latina/o graduate and professional students as a means for social justice, the LGA commits to enrich the intellectual and social community for Latina/o students at DU. Register your email address to join the LGA listserv.
Latino Community Forums: Occasional gatherings for community-building, issues discussion and action planning around issues of interest to DU's Latino communities. For updates, join the email listserv: https://listserv.du.edu/mailman/listinfo/du-familia
In collaboration with the Office of Alumni Relations, we support the Latino Alumni Affinity group (DULAA), which supports, promotes and channels the academic, social, professional and developmental interests of DU's Latino community—past, present and future. DULAA is committed to helping Latino students succeed both in and outside of the classroom.
Our office also hosts DU's
Hispanic Scholarship Fund Chapter, providing ongoing support services to HSF recipients at DU.
Keeping the Dream Alive Conference : Advising the Immigrant College Student: annual conference currently hosted at DU.
The DU Latino Center for Community Engagement and Scholarship (DULCCES) is an affiliated program.
