Staff of Color Association (SOCA)

Who we are:

SOCA's mission is to create a supportive community for promoting
personal and professional growth through shared experiences,
resources, and strategies for staff of color.

We are committed to building and supporting Inclusive Excellence
throughout all levels of the University.

SOCA began as a grass roots organization in 2011 with support from the
Center for Multicultural Excellence and we have worked with Human
Resources, partnering to promote and provide joint programming for
staff development.

While SOCA maintains a particular focus on the specific needs of staff of
color, all staff are invited to attend SOCA meetings and promote its
