Programs: This year, in collaboration with the DU’s Sustainability Council, we are making an effort to make our event as Green and sustainable as possible. Thus, we are providing all participants with an e-program instead of a paper program.
*** Click here to download the e-program, including the schedule, workshop descriptions, presenter biographies, and much more (in Adobe .pdf format).
In addition, the workshop details will be displayed on a PowerPoint slide and on posters at the Summit. Again, we will NOT be providing individual hardcopy programs, so please do review the website and/or attached version for the variety of workshops before coming on Friday!
Community Partner: We are pleased to have The Spirituals Project to join us at this year's Chocolate Fountain Reception, to share with us the music and teachings of the sacred songs called “spirituals,” created and first sung by enslaved Africans in America in the 18th and 19th centuries. As we enjoy the good music and company, and move from learning to action at the end of the Summit, we invite you to bring your cash or checkbooks to make a contribution to the Spirituals Project. For more information about this organization, please visit: http://www.spiritualsproject.org/
Luncheon: The luncheon is on a first come, first serve format. Also in line with our efforts towards sustainability, we will having locally produced foods.
Special Performance: This year we are partnering with the Lamont School of Music, promoting a special performance, Kartik Seshadri, a world renowned sitar virtuoso, composer, educator and the foremost disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar. Free admission and open to the general public. Gates Concert Hall. May 1, 2:30-3:30pm. Please note, this performance is during a workshop slot and would substitute for one.

Summit attendees may also use bus lines 24 and 21, which have stops along Evans Ave. and University Blvd. Parking for the Summit can be accessed via the Evans Parking Garage, located east of High St. on the south side of Evans Ave.
Maps: For detailed campus maps including building locations, please visit www.du.edu/maps. For questions and concerns, please call (303) 871-2942.
Evaluation: Our last Sustainability effort will be to eliminate a paper evaluation. Instead of a paper based evaluation, we will be emailing a digital survey to each of you on Monday, May 4, 2009. Please support our planet and our efforts by taking a moment of your time to provide important feedback about our Diversity Summit on Inclusive Excellence.
