Graduate Student Services
In conjuction with the Office of Multicultural Faculty Recruitment and Retention and the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, CME provides graduate student services aimed at the recruitment and retention of GLBT graduate students and graduate students of color.In addition, we seek ways to ensure students have the academic, professional, and social support to complete their degrees.
To that end, some of the services we provide are an annual celebration of excellence, a series of graduate workshops, and a creation of an advisory board for student of color, focus groups that gathers qualitative data on best practices for retention of students of color, collaborate with admissions coordinators of individual colleges, and participation in the national summer institute. The Office of Multicultural Faculty Recruitment and Retention and the are committed to the success of graduate students. We work in collaboration with graduate student organizations to recruit and retain outstanding students.
