The Center for Multicultural Excellence, the Office of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Student Government are pleased to offer the Graduate Workshop Series to prepare students for a career in academia. This occasional series includes presentations by experts in the field addressing strategies for completing the dissertation, preparing a curricula vita and cover letter, negotiating faculty contracts, balancing research, teaching, and community service, understanding the tenure process, the importance and value of mentoring and networking, and navigating various employment obstacles and challenges.
