Summer Commencement accommodations for guests with disabilities

• Parking: Please park in the Cherrington Hall/Mary Reed Hourly lot, just south of the Mary Reed Building.

  Directions to accessible parking:

  • From University, turn right (west) onto Iliff Ave.
  • Turn right onto Gaylord St. (at the stop sign)
  • Accessible parking is in the metered spaces on the east side of Gaylord St., and in the connected metered lot on the south side of the Mary Reed Building. (There is no charge to park in the metered spaces.)
    
    

• Drop-off location: If you're driving a guest who has difficulty walking, please follow the directions above, then continue following Gaylord St. as it curves to the east and merges into the south side of Ritchie Circle. A drop-off point will be designated on the south side of Ritchie Circle.

  Guests must be dropped off before 8 a.m. At 8 a.m. Ritchie Circle will be closed to all traffic.

  This drop-off point is only for guests with disabilities.

• Seating: All Commencement seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  
  
• Interpreters: We urge guests with hearing impairment to sit toward the northeast side of the Commencement stage, where our interpreters will present the ceremony in sign language.
  
  
• Large-print programs: We'll provide programs in larger print for those with low vision.
  
  
• Wheelchairs: If you need a wheelchair, visit our wheelchair rental page for recommended vendors.
