Directions for summer Commencement ceremonies

If you're attending our summer 2012 Commencement ceremony, you may park for free in the following lots:

• lot H1, upper-level parking on the corner of Iliff Avenue and Gaylord Street (entrance on Gaylord)
• lot H2, lower-level parking on the corner of Iliff Avenue and Gaylord Street (entrance on Iliff)
• lot O, off Iliff Avenue, with the entrance between University Boulevard and Gaylord Street

Driving directions

If you're driving, here's the best route to get to these lots and Carnegie Green:

1. Start on Interstate 25.
2. Exit onto University Boulevard (Exit 205).
3. Drive south on University Boulevard (left if exiting from the south, and right if exiting from the north).
4. To lots H1, H2 and O: Turn right (west) onto Iliff Avenue.
   —Lot O will be just west of York Street, on the left.
   —To enter lot H1, turn left onto Gaylord Street (at the stop sign), and take another left into the lot.
   —To enter lot H2, continue just past Gaylord Street (the stop sign), and turn right into the entryway.
5. Parking for guests with disabilities: From University, turn right (west) onto Warren Circle (aka, Daniel L. Ritchie Memorial Way). You may drop off your guest at the circle, then follow the curve south of the Mary Reed Building to the Cherrington Hall/Mary Reed Hourly parking lot (lot 304).

Carnegie Green is nestled in the plot of campus bordered by University Boulevard to the east, Evans Avenue to the north, High Street to the west and Iliff Avenue to the south.

Please refer to our campus parking map (PDF) for other free parking. Look for signs to direct you to the nearest available lot.

Directions for spring Commencement ceremonies

We'll hold DU's spring 2012 Commencement ceremonies inside Magness Arena (inside the Ritchie Center). If you're driving, here's the best route to take:

1. Start on Interstate 25.
2. Exit onto University Boulevard (Exit 205).
3. Drive south on University Boulevard (left if exiting from the south, and right if exiting from the north).
4. Refer to the campus parking map to find DU parking lots, which are accessible from University Boulevard.

You can also ride RTD light rail to the University of Denver station. Take line E, F or H to the DU stop, which drops off passengers at Buchtel Boulevard and High Street, a block west of the Ritchie Center.
