For Students
Cap, Gown & Ticket Pickup
Each summer and spring before our Commencement ceremonies, visit this site to find information about how, when and where you can rent and pick up your cap and gown, and guest tickets.
Pickup times, dates and location:
In general, the University sets up a cap-and-gown pickup station on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the spring graduate and undergraduate Commencement ceremonies.
We'll provide a list of prices for each type of merchandise and information about how to purchase your rented regalia outright. (You're welcome to keep your mortarboard and tassel as souvenirs.
Tickets (required for spring undergraduate students' guests only)
If you're an undergraduate student graduating in spring, our cap-and-gown pickup station is also when and where you can get tickets for your Commencement guests. The University provides a set amount of guest tickets to each undergraduate student participating in Commencement. We then give out any extra tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are not required for children 2 years old or younger.
Emergency pickup (for graduate students only)
We also reserve time for emergency cap and gown rental for out-of-town master's and doctoral students only.
You can prepare for graduation now by reviewing our Commencement checklist to make sure you have everything you need to graduate.
