Anderson Academic Commons

Services

The Anderson Academic Commons supports the way people teach and learn in a digitally connected world.

That’s why you’ll find dozens of group study spaces, increased access to electrical outlets, acoustically controlled quiet study areas, collaborative workstations, access to cloud computing and much, much more.

You’ll also have access to special University programs and services aimed at helping you succeed in and outside the classroom.

DIGITAL MEDIA CENTER

Get help producing and editing your digital projects through the Digital Media Center. You’ll have access to our support staff as well as editing software, such as Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects and the Adobe Production Premium Suite.

Other features include project storage space and a checkout counter for digital assets.

All spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

FRONT PORCH CAFÉ

The vision of alumnus Doug Scrivner, the Front Porch Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner inside the Commons, giving visitors much-needed brain food and opportunities to socialize.

In response to student requests for healthy food options, café staff will serve ZeBi (Zest Bistro), a line of locally produced meal and snack options including sandwiches, fresh baked goods, coffee, tea and more from Sodexo.

The 75-seat café includes patio dining, a concept Scrivner borrowed from his happy memories of time spent on his family’s front porch in Wisconsin.

MATH CENTER

Find tutors in the Math Center to help you break down and understand concepts in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus and business calculus.

Whether you work best in group or individual study session, Math Center staff—undergraduate tutors and graduate teaching assistants—will help you through study reviews, homework, quizzes and exam preparation.
