Recreational Activities in Costa Rica
Class is in session Monday through Thursday afternoon, which allows students the opportunity to travel on their own or in groups to all coners of Costa Rica over the weekends.

In the past, students have explored the cloud forest of Monteverde, the Caribbean culture of the Atlantic Coast, and Manuel Antonio on the Pacific where you can sun bathe with the monkeys and iguanas. Some students do all of this on a shoestring budget- traveling by public transportation, staying in hostels, and eating the typical Costa Rican meal of rice and beans, or "pintos y gallos."

For the more lavish lifestyle, students can charter a private bus/van to deliver them to their weekend destination. Lake Arenal and its active volcano and the canals of Tortuguero are a must see. You can also go white water rafting on the Reventazon River, snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep sea fishing at Coco Beach... but wherever you go, you will be sure to find plenty of time to relax.
