University Faith Groups



The Center for Religious Services (CRS) is a group of recognized religious or spiritual organizations on campus. The CRS is provided by the University as a courtesy to members of relgious organizations who have students attending the university. While the University endorses no religious organization or practice, official recognition has been granted to individual representatives of religious organizations who have covenanted to abide by specific University standards. Members of the religious community officially recognized by the University and supervised by the Division of Student Life are listed below.




Baha’i Campus Association
The Baha'i Campus Association is a student organization for members of the Baha'i Faith, but is open to all students. Baha'is are followers of Baha'u'llah and support the oneness of God, the oneness of religion and the oneness of mankind.

Buddhist Fellowship
The Buddhist Fellowship is for Buddhist students and students of Buddhism and offers study and practice in meditation and philosophy.  The Buddhist Chaplain, Venerable Claude d’Estrée, is also a spiritual director and trained in the Centering Prayer tradition as well as comparative spiritual disciplines.

Campus Crusade for Christ
Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational Christian group existing for the purpose of aiding students in their spiritual growth through weekly large group meetings, small group Bible studies, conferences and retreats.

Catholic Campus Ministry (FOCUS)
The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) is an outreach program to Roman Catholic students and anyone interested in the Catholic Faith. Chabad of South Denver
We create a warm and non judgmental environment where you can become a part of our extended family. We welcome all Jews regardless of background, affiliation, knowledge, or practice. Christian Science Organization
The Christian Science Organization at DU holds weekly testimony meetings and sponsors free lectures on campus about Christian Science.

Pioneers for Christ
Pioneers for Christ is a campus ministry organization that hosts weekly DU "GODtalk" discussions and devotionals, which are open to all current DU students. Our goal is to encourage dialogue regarding what the Christian Scriptures say towards the nature of God and to consider His relevancy in modern times. Pioneers for Christ is sponsored by the Young Adult Ministry at University Church of Christ, a non-denominational, bible-based church just blocks away from campus at 2000 S. Milwaukee St. (Milwaukee and Asbury).

Young Life
Young Life is a non-denominational Christian outreach ministry to Junior High and High School students in Denver. There are Young Life meetings every weeknight during the school year. Join other DU students volunteering with Young Life. There are weekly Bible studies and leadership training monthly. Stop by the house at 1986 South York Street.
