The Center conducted several projects that had both research value in the Daniels College of Business and practical value to companies and/or governmental bodies who collaborated on and funded some of the projects. Most of the research was performed by graduate students in the Daniels College of Business who were supervised by a faculty principal investigator. Examples of projects include: Development of search techniques for an XML-based ebooks repository Evaluation of peer to peer software in support of knowledge management for a small consulting firm: A case study. Development of an EC strategy for a Fortune 500 corporation (confidential) How airline travel industry distribution channels are changing due to EC. A summary of the results was published in The Communications of the Association of Information Systems entitled " Disintermediation and Reintermediation in the US Air Travel Distribution Industry: A Delphi Study " Participation in the TEMPLET project to develop a capability maturity model for the virtual enterprise Participation in the grass roots XML/EDI initiative Evaluation of a simplified Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) substitute for small and medium-sized businesses Development of a model for EC-based procurement using electronic catalogs, directories and software agents Please contact Don McCubbrey at 303.871.2014 or dmccubbr@du.edu for more information on any of the Center's projects. |
