The Center's teaching role was focused in three principal areas:

1. What every business student needs to know about electronic commerce. In sum, students need to know that e-commerce is commerce, but it is commerce made more efficient, effective, and innovatove by the use of computer and communications technologies, in particular those that are Internet-enabled. Our role is to assist our colleagues in including the latest e-commerce topics in each disipline in the Daniels College curriculum.

2. What business students who specialize in electronic commerce need to know. Our specialized concentrations in electronic commerce prepare students for careers as e-commerce consultants, as e-commerce specialists on the Information Technology staffs of organizations, or as e-commerce entrepreneurs. We have graduates currently at work in all three sectors.

3. What managers in business, government and not for profits need to know about electronic commerce. Our contiinued management education courses and custom courses and consultations are designed to keep managers informed about stateof the art practices in e-commerce as well as on trends that could impact their organizations.
