Get It - Global Education to Improve Tomorrow
(Heifer International Curriculum, 6th - 8th Grades)
The standards-based curriculum subtitled "What's the Connection: Economic Links between Latin America and the United States" focuses on consumer choices and how a person's everyday decisions can affect other people and environments around the world.

"Lessons from a Village Called Earth" is a standards-based curriculum that uses the compelling story of Luis and his younger sister Isabel, residents of a small village high in the mountains of Ecuador, to teach sustainable resource development, civic action, and examines ways to end poverty.

This is a literacy-based curriculum that follows how the gift of a goat
changed one girl's life in Uganda. The lessons examine Beatrice's story
from four angles: economics, civics, geography, and life science. The
curriculum can be used in conjunction with Read
to Feed, a reading incentive program in which children raise money
for books they read in order to buy gifts of livestock for families in
developing communities. In ordering this packet, you will receive the
curriculum, a copy of the children's book entitled Beatrice's Goat,
a video, and additional information about Read to Feed.
