THE GLOBAL AWARENESS QUIZ

This is a 15 minute, 50 question, multiple choice quiz. The quiz tests students' knowledge of political geography, current international events, and basic international economics. Each quiz is scored individually and then averaged for the team. The quiz accounts for 35% of a team's score for Best Overall Team. Top individual scores will receive prizes.

Some tips for preparation: read the paper on a daily basis, especially world affairs. Know political geography, including world capitals. Familiarize yourself with the major issues of the day, and with the people in the news.
