Tutoring and Conversation
The Center for World Languages and Cultures offers peer tutoring for DU students seeking extra help with language courses, conversation practice in a foreign language, or language proficiency exam preparation. We also offer review sessions for some languages in preparation for finals, as well as ad hoc proficiency exam preparation sessions. Tutoring is offered quarterly beginning week 2, Monday through Thursday. We do not offer tutoring hours during finals or over the summer, winter, or spring breaks. Our current tutoring schedule is below. Tutoring is free to all DU students and is first come, first served on a drop-in basis. The CWLC currently has tutors in Arabic, Chinese, English (as a second language) French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Please see the CWLC Tutoring Policies and Procedures for details.
Tutoring is held at the Language Center in the Academic Commons. We are located on the main floor, south of the Math Center and east of the Writing Center.
Tutoring will resume week 2 of the fall quarter. Please check back then for our schedule. Thank you!
Please note tutoring hours may change throughout the quarter. Though we do our best to cover all advertised tutoring hours, on occasion a tutor may be absent or unavailable.
If you are looking for tutoring in a language we do not offer, please contact us. We may be able to provide you with a list of outside tutors.
