Welcome to the Disability Services Program (DSP) at the University of Denver! DSP provides accommodations to any student with a documented disability as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Accommodations afford students equal opportunity to participate in the University's programs, courses, and activities.

A disability is a condition that substantially limits "major life activity" such as walking, hearing, seeing, speaking, breathing, or learning. ADA laws protect the following: physical disabilities, psychological disabilities, health-related disabilities, learning disabilities, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Accommodations DSP provides may include, but are not limited to:

  • Alternate Format Text
  • Course substitution
  • Early registration
  • Extended time testing
  • Sign language interpreters
  • Note takers
“They are great!...they are always there when I need them.”
