Other Services
Consultation Services
Consultation services provide planning, problem solving, and support for the University Community. Consultation is confidential and involves such issues as: departmental organization teambuilding, third party mediation, and supervisor consultation training. Whenever people are faced with a problem that involves complications due to human behavior patterns, the Center is available to assist.
Psychiatric Services
Medication evaluations (when referred for such by the counseling or medical staff) are available from our psychiatrist, as is psychiatric hospitalization, if necessary.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program is a confidential resource for faculty, administrators and staff. The University recognizes that personal stress affects not only an individual's life, but also the quality of an individual's work. The goal of the Employee Assistance Program is to minimize the effects of personal stress on both a person's life and his/her work.
Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessment is available to assist in the diagnosis and the treatment of particular problems. Psychological testing can address drug/alcohol problems, personality issues, career decisions, learning disabilities, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders.
Training Program
The training program includes an American Psychological Association-accredited psychology internship along with practicum positions. Four interns and five practica work at the HCC each year. For additional questions, please contact Dr. Terri Lucero-Osborn at terri.osborn@hcc.du.edu or 303.871.4304
