Does DU Give a Hoot?

Photo of an owlThe University of Denver had developed a comprehensive plan to address pandemic flu. The plan covers the following areas of consideration for our campus community:

  • Continuity of University business and academic functions, the scaling down of functions, and possible University closure.
  • The health and mental health care of students and essential employees remaining on campus.
  • Education of the campus community on the prevention of infection with respiratory viruses, including flu viruses, and pandemic flu preparedness for individuals and families.
  • Communications within the campus community, between the University and the outside community, with parents, and with students studying abroad.
  • Housing and providing food for students remaining on campus and meeting their other basic needs.
  • Maintaining campus safety and security.
  • Stockpiling necessary supplies, including medical supplies.
  • Issues specific to international students.
  • Maintenance of the physical plant, telephone and technology services.
  • Human resources issues.
  • University recovery from pandemic flu.
