About the topic

This session will outline how one college successfully automated their student health insurance waiver process and had 100% of all submitted waivers audited for accuracy. This new system significantly increased plan participation and removed multiple problemmatic logistics associated with administering a hard copy waiver submission process. This collaborative venture is a must attend session for any college that has a mandatory insurance requirement that includes the option to "waive out" with proof of outside health insurance.

Administering an insurance waiver process is a very difficult task for college administrators. This new and innovative approach reduced staff time and frustration, creating an efficient system for managing health insurance waivers. This automated submission and audit process identified students who submit erroneous or inaccurate outside health insurance information, increasing plan participation significantly.
