Students in the DU/Iliff Joint Ph.D. Program enjoy the benefits of two unique communities co-located in sunny Denver, Colorado. Joint PhD students are fully students of both Iliff and DU and receive the benefits from both campuses. Perks include an unlimited RTD bus pass, free access to the fitness and athletics center, 300 pages of free printing and late-night computer labs from DU and Iliff offers inexpensive, centrally located parking, individual attention, and six free counseling sessions.
The University of Denver offers a variety of recreational activities, including classes and exercise facilities at Coors Fitness Center, athletic events featuring the DU Pioneers, and performances at Newman Center for the performing arts. DU also supports its diverse student body through disability services and the Center for Multicultural Excellence.
Iliff School of Theology is located on eight-acres adjacent to the scenic University of Denver campus. By virtue of its smaller student population, Iliff has a more intimate community atmosphere with a unique blend of spiritually-oriented social and learning. While Iliff is one of the 13 United Methodist seminaries, the population is very ecumenical, welcoming students, faculty and staff from over 30 different denominations and faith traditions.
The degree is granted jointly by the University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology and bears the signatures and seals of both schools.
