Students who were accepted into the Joint Doctoral Program in “Religious and Theological Studies” (before 2013) or “Religion” (in fall 2013 and 2014)must complete one of the following concentrations, each of which has its own requirements.
- Biblical Interpretation
- Religion and Psychological Studies
- Religion and Social Change
- Theology, Philosophy & Cultural Theory
Students are encouraged to consult information about these programs on our DU Portfolio Site .
Beginning in fall 2015, the Joint Doctoral Program launched a newly restructured, more unified program, no longer restricted to the four concentrations. Please note that it is possible that some specific required courses may no longer be available for students continuing with their original programs, and some procedures may change. Accommodations will be provided where necessary. We are committed to supporting all of our students in this transitional phase, so that they may focus on their studies with the least amount of disruption.
