The purpose of the Colorado Economic Dashboards is to provide information for Colorado citizens to assess the strength of Colorado’s state and local economies, our systems for financing public services and facilities, and how well our public service delivery systems are performing. The objectives of the dashboard are:
- To provide economic and fiscal information in a graphical format that can be interpreted at a glance.
- To provide access to economic and fiscal information in an intuitive, user-friendly, and inviting format.
- To provide a way for users to obtain information in as little or as much detail as desired by “drilling down” from composite data into more detailed graphics.
- To present information on both a statewide and sub-state regional basis.
Accompanying graphical information will be explanatory information and notes written in clear, layman’s terms. Also available will be historical information depicting trends for each gauge on the dashboards.
It is anticipated that the dashboards will be constructed on a component by component basis over many months. Components will be added to the dashboards as completed.
