Title: Networking: Build Relationships - Build Your Future
Presenter: Karen Susman, '65 Education
Location: Community Room, Craig Hall
Don't plan to sit this one out. You'll be up on your feet, moving, laughing and learning practical skills you'll use for a lifetime. Networking is more than meeting, greeting and exchanging business cards. It's building long term relationships. That takes connecting, nurturing, following-up and time. Guarantee: you'll know more people when you leave the session than when you arrived. And, you'll use these skills within 24 hours to boost your personal and professional life.
Tuesday, May 6th, 4-6 p.m.
Title: Perceptions of Diversity
Presenters: MCE Diversity Committee and alumni guests
Location: Community Room, Craig Hall
Students, faculty, staff and alumni will engage in an active dialogue on the present climate of the College with regard to inclusive excellence. Last year, the College reaffirmed its commitment to understanding and valuing individual and group differences by promoting non-prejudicial attitudes and inclusive actions in a safe and affirming environment. The MCE Diversity Committee conducted various surveys to help gauge faculty, staff, and student perceptions on inclusivity, excellence, diversity and access. The committee will share the results: What are the perceptions of faculty, staff, and students on inclusive excellence? What progress have we made? How do we continue to monitor our progress over time? Be a part of this important discussion that will guide our mission of inclusive excellence.
Wednesday, May 7th, 4-6 pm.
