MCE Dean announces new Associate Dean

Dean Gregory Anderson announced that Professor Maria Riva has agreed to serve as the new Associate Dean of the Morgridge College of Education, effective August 14, 2009. Dr Riva has been in the College of Education since 1990. She has held several leadership positions including Program Chair and Training Director of the Counseling Psychology program and has served as Chair of the IRB at DU. Nationally, Maria has been the President of the Association for Specialists in Group Work, a division of the American Counseling Association, and has been an associate editor and on the editorial board of several journals. She is currently on the Board of Group Psychology and Psychotherapy, a division of the American Psychological Association. She looks forward to her new role as Associate Dean of the MCE.
