Fisher Early Learning Center

The Fisher Early Learning Center is one of Denver's premiere early childhood programs, providing children from six weeks through five years of age with an innovative and creative model for learning.

Children and families in the Fisher community experience a joyful atmosphere, where play and literacy mesh as the basis for learning. Leveraging the "Read, Play and Learn!" curriculum, developed in partnership with the DU's Morgridge College of Education, Fisher's highly qualified teachers use children's storybooks as the launching pad for all daily activities and interactions.

Our interdisciplinary approach integrates art, music, movement, dramatic play, science, math, literary and sensory/ motor skills development throughout the day. Every year, our families report that their Fisher graduates started kindergarten with a strong social and academic foundation due to the distinctive learning environment at our Center.

Strong Relationships

At Fisher, families and teachers have strong relationships, and share a mutual goal of creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment for our children. With student/teacher ratios as low as 3:1, Fisher teachers truly know the children, understand the diverse developmental needs of their class, and are skilled at providing unique environments to meet those requirements. To ensure that classrooms are comfortable places for both the children and their families, we welcome parent participation and involvement.

We invite families from both the University of Denver and the Denver community to be a part of Fisher. As an inclusive program, we welcome children of diverse backgrounds and all abilities to join us.
