Students in the MA program develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to work successfully within school and community agencies that serve infants, toddlers and preschoolers and their families.

Field experiences, specialized courses, and internships are selected from a full range of sites in the Denver area, which is rich in diversity and opportunities for student involvement.

The MA degree requires a minimum of 51 quarter hours, depending on prior individual experiences and coursework. The degree takes 1-1/2 to 2 years to complete on a full-time basis. Students are welcome to complete the program on a part-time schedule.

Licensure as a school psychologist is not available with the MA degree, and this degree is not geared toward individuals wishing to become counselors.
