Teacher Education/Master's Completion
Take the next step to reach your Professional Teacher's License and enroll in the Teacher Education/Master's Completion Program. Accepted students take their first 40 credits as part of the Teacher Education Program (TEP), followed by six credits in curriculum leadership and six credits in one area of concentration, or strand. This two year program is designed to allow students to develop expertise in a specific area that will make them leaders in the schools in which they work.
Strand areas currently include:
- Aesthetic Education (Arts in Education)
- Linguistically Diverse Education (LDE)
- Gifted Education
- Literacy
- Technology
- Content area emphasis
Convenient class times are offered for these final 12 credit hours so that students can complete the master's degree coursework while teaching full time.
