Certificate in Gifted Education
The certificate is designed to be completed in approximately two years in conjunction with the master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Teachers completing the program would be prepared to take the Gifted Education PLACE Exam, a requirement for the endorsement.
Leading the way
The University of Denver has long been a pioneer and leader in the professional development
of educators and practitioners interested in the education of gifted and talented
children and youth. Course instructors include Morgridge College of Education faculty,
adjunct faculty members, guest experts, and leaders in gifted education.
Students interested in completing the certificate program must apply for the master's
degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Gifted Education. This
option allows students to apply all the credits of their certificate program towards
a 45-credit-hour master's degree.
