    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Social Studies
  • Art Education (K-12)
  • Music Education (K-12)
  • Foreign Language Education (Spanish, French, German, Russian) (K-12)

Students in this dual undergraduate/graduate teaching degree program complete their undergraduate foundation and core requirements, as well as their major and minor requirements during their first three academic years. Application into the Dual Undergraduate/Graduate Degree Program is made during the third year. During the fourth year of study, they enroll in the Teacher Education Program (TEP), an intensive, integrated learning experience that prepares individuals for a career in education. The fifth year of study is a combination of graduate courses in education as well as any outstanding undergraduate requirements.

Program Advantages

  • Cohort model during the TEP coursework allows students to learn, study, and work in groups comprised of their peers, provides a supportive learning community, and serves as an invaluable professional network following graduation.
  • Students are able to apply undergraduate financial aid toward their graduate course work, providing a faster and more cost effective option than pursuing the two degrees separately.
  • Up to 15 credit hours are counted toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree simultaneously, reducing the total number of credit hours to 228.
  • Partnerships and placement opportunities have been established with more school districts than any other teacher education program in Colorado.
  • Experienced adjunct faculty members, many of whom currently teach in area districts, present the best the teaching profession has to offer in terms of their practice, wisdom, and guidance.
