Educational Administration PhD

Research teams form based on related research topics and team members will serve as "critical friends" to foster quality and accountability. The intent of this dissertation design process is to give PhD students the opportunity to explore relevant questions that match district needs and conduct collaborative research in a research process that they can replicate and engage others with in school and district settings.

Students will write individual dissertations, but rely on university faculty, district leadership, and fellow PhD candidates for support, literature and research design recommendations, and feedback.

Preparation for the Superintendent's endorsement is an option available to Educational Administration doctoral students. Upon successful completion of the required coursework and internship, students will be eligible for recommendation for the Superintendent's endorsement by the director of Educational Administration to the Colorado Department of Education.

Credits completed in the Educational Administration certificate programs may, under certain circumstances, be applied toward the Masters or PhD in Educational Administration.
