Executive Leadership for Successful Schools

Building on the history of principal preparation programs at the University of Denver, the Executive Leadership for Successful Schools Program (ELSS) carries on DU's reputation in the Denver educational community by continually sending well prepared leaders into schools. We approach this preparation through use of evidence-based practice to focus on inclusive excellence, 21st century teaching and learning, and transformational leadership.

The 30-quarter-hour program is designed to be completed in one calendar year. Learning is fostered through a blended program of interactive online study, 10 weekend cohort workshops, and varied field experiences. The program is aligned to meet state and national standards for educational leadership excellence.

To speak to someone about ELSS, please contact the Office of Outreach Support at outreach@du.edu or 1-800-835-1607.
