Teacher Education Program

The Teacher Education Program (TEP) is an intensive, 40 quarter-credit-hour, nine-month academic experience designed for individuals who already hold a bachelor's degree and seek a Colorado teaching license.  Adding to its appeal, all students admitted into the program are offered a half tuition scholarship.

TEP offers the following options for licensure:

  • Elementary Education (grades K-6)
  • Secondary Education (grades 7-12) with endorsements in the following subject matters:
    • English Language Arts
    • Foreign Language (French, German, Russian, Spanish)
    • Math
    • Science
    • Social Studies
  • Art education (grades K-12)
  • Music Education (grades K-12)

Students can add an additional four courses to earn a master's in Curriculum and Instruction through our Combined Licensure and Master's Program (CLAMP).  These additional courses are offered in the evening so that students complete their master's degree during their first year of teaching.
